This was, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like I was inconveniencing them rather than being a paying guest. The front desk employees were consistently rude, dismissive, and acted as though they were doing me a favor simply by checking me in. Customer service is virtually nonexistent. The property itself is in terrible condition. The rooms feel damp and musty, the cleanliness is far below acceptable standards, and I even found spiders in the room. It felt more like a neglected roadside motel than a hotel charging these rates. The Wi-Fi is so unreliable that streaming on the TV is nearly impossible, making it frustrating if you plan to relax or work during your stay. The most disappointing part is that the staff seems completely indifferent to guests’ comfort or satisfaction. There is no sense of hospitality, professionalism, or pride in the property. Instead, you are made to feel unwelcome throughout your stay. If you’re considering staying here, do yourself a favor and spend a little more to stay at Margaritaville next door. If I could leave zero stars, I would. And I’m not usually one to leave bad reviews, but this was the worst experience we’ve ever had. My husband and I stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon because it was advertised as a quiet, relaxing beachfront stay, and it was anything but that. If you’re not familiar with the area, Hollywood Beach is party beach, so if you want somewhere relaxing, stay closer to Miami Beach. When we got to our room, we were horrified by how much better it looked in the pictures. They need to give their photographer a raise because it felt like we were staying in a motel 6 in downtown Salt Lake City. The room was dirty and there was literal clumps of black hair in the bathroom, and the deadbolt was broken off our door. Then around 9 PM when we are trying to settle down, a massive Mexican family set up their entire barbecue party in the foyer of the hotel (right outside the rooms) and they were playing music from their suitcase sized speaker among many other annoyances. The front desk would not answer the phone so we went there in person and asked them to shut the party down. Security came out 15 minutes later and got them to shut the music off, but as

If I could give this zero stars, I would. Upon check-in, we were informed that we had to pay $800 in fees after providing a receipt showing that we had paid for everything. They also charge you a $50 fee per day to take care of your rooms and never once did anyone come into the hotel room. You have to walk a block to get towels. They never removed any trash or swept the floors so they’re full of sand. The bathrooms are so small your knees hit the wall when you sit on the toilet. The air conditioner is set to 70 and it’s been a consistent 76 to 78° in the room. There has been no hot water whatsoever the whole time that we’ve been here in fact, the beach is warmer. I also ended up covered in a rash from my neck down to my stomach because I’m allergic to the detergent in the sheets. They weren’t clean when we got here (ketchup on floor). We were supposed to receive three boxes of dishes, and we only got two. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone and I would not stay here again.
